So I go to the Theology Faculty (library) and I'm all like, "All these lecturers in my course are talking about this book called Q. I'm not really sure who wrote it, and I can't find it in my college library. Do you have it here?
They just frowned at me and didn't say anything. I hope there's not a test over it.

You never heard of the Q dog? Dude! Not as much of a Star Trek fan as I thought.
I am sure you must be josh'n us. Anyhow I read an excellent book, actually one of the top 3 in my whole library, which had a magnificent section on "Q". The book is called "Lord Jesus Christ" by Larry Hurtado. I think he is on that big Island of yours too! =) Oh by the way the book (granted it is a massive tome) takes a look of how early Christians viewed Jesus the Christ. It is worth every penny of the cost of it (I think it is around $50 american).

BTW, my NT prof - David Johnson from Providence Theological Seminary, MB, CA - believes the Q (Quelle - Germ. source) is the proto-Mark, the "draft" version of the present gospel of Mark that got around in circulation, if you will. Later on the same guy edited it. It's a little beyond me to check up on a thing like that. Also, I lack the tools of Greek fluency - just able to read and check on gender, case, person, mode/time, number etc.
That's an interesting theory, Simonas, I'd not heard of it.
Minus 10 points to anyone who actually thought that I don't know what the Q source is. I still remember with a bit of irritation the day I asked one of the priestlings at my last job a question about how a parish discussion group was being conducted, and he proceeded to give me a New Testament 101 lesson: "you see, Kyle, the Bible is complicated..."
It was kind of insulting. "You know that I went to college, right?"
